Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: New York (Onsite)

Work Mode: Contract

Experience Level: 10 years

Maximum CTC: $60,000 to $70,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

• Test front end and back end applications supporting Markets business.
• Provide test strategy, estimation, and execute test cases.
• Work closely with stakeholders, project managers, and developers.
• Utilize functional documentation and technical specifications for manual and automated testing.
• Perform data analysis, create test data, and track and resolve defects.
• Ensure all testing is conducted and documented.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration.
• 10 years of experience supporting operations/settlements projects at a broker dealer.
• In-depth understanding of securities lending, repo, fixed income trade settlement, and financing operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience with Broker/Dealer products, securities processing, and industry-wide initiatives.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC (Agile and Waterfall), and testing tools such as JIRA and Test Rail.
• Hands-on experience with test planning, execution, and defect management.
• Strong understanding of SQL concepts and experience with Oracle, SQL Server databases.
• Experience with Control M, SSIS, Data warehouse, Data lake (MS Azure preferred).
• Automation experience in Java, Selenium, Maven, IntelliJ Idea is a plus.
• "Go-getter" attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Core Responsibilities:

• Act as a Business Analyst supporting operations, settlements, and regulatory reporting initiatives.
• Gather and document business requirements for new systems related to trading, clearing, settlement, and regulatory reporting.
• Develop functional specifications and test cases for operations-related technology initiatives.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing and identify risks and issues related to operations and settlements.
• Create documentation for project status reporting and develop project plans for operations-focused deliverables.

Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year
